Life is a highway

Say it isnt so!!! Less than 2 weeks left in my first year teaching!! WHAT??? The time has flown by. Its days like today that I am really going to miss my kids. We had such a great day today. We were all in sync, no major behavior issues, mutual respect, it was all warm and fuzzy in my room today. We just got each other. I look back and they've learned so much and I'm so proud!! I guess its time though to send my little ducklings down the hall to the next grade. Sadness!!!

I played the Rascal Flatts song, "Life is a highway" for my kiddos and it was so fun to just see them so excited to hear some music and relax a bit. We then talked a little bit about the movie Cars and went about our day. I'm thinking about trying to make up some sort of neat gift with the song lyrics for the end of the year gift for the students, but I'm drawing a blank.

I'm also looking at my impending summer wondering what to do. There was one potential job but that has since fizzled away so I just dont know. I would love to travel and see places, but...with the price of gas, I'm not sure I can do that anymore. I really had my heart set on a road trip but unless I make some dinero its not happenin.

The complete randomness of this post completely encompasses my mind right now. It is so jumbled with things to do, papers to grade, boxes to pack, a little bit of everything. No big point, really - just something to do while watching the new Deadliest Catch episode.
