Whoever made themselves famous with this quote is a very smart person. Theres a lot of truth to this statement for me.
Yesterday at Wal Mart while I was waiting for a prescription to be filled I was passing through the CD secition and struck gold! Well, maybe not gold, but I found the Rush of Fools CD for less than 10 bucks! I had been accustomed to a few of their songs and love their sound, but I completely fell in love with most of the other songs on the CD.
Its almost like the CD was waiting there for me. Once again, someone is watching out for me. See, I got a new update about my grandpa and its really not looking good right now. They're going to "comfort" meds instead of meds that keep him going on a daily basis. Gulp.
This music really has brought me some comfort. I know that I am nowhere near prepared for this to happen, as much as I think I have tried to be. Nor am I prepared to go through the traveling, waking up the morning of the funeral, sitting in my favorite church and experiencing everything. Theres a pit in my stomach thinking about it.
This is what I am grateful for though: I am grateful for a loving family both here and in WI, I am grateful for the friends I have, especially those who I can count on for spiritual support, and I am grateful for having the amazing opportunity to spend so much time with my grandpa and be a part of his amazing life. The one regret? I am sure I was only able to barely scratch the surface of knowing him and his achievements, life lessons and advice.
And on that note - I'm off to tackle a pile of papers to grade. Or, get some sleep I feel horrible from a cold that wont go away.
